GROWING LEADERS

London, Manchester,Gloucester …

The task of growing leaders in the church for the churches is ever before us. Please pray for the new training groups beginning in London and Manchester in May and the new group slated to begin in Gloucester in September. Uptake for these groups has been tremendously encouraging. I am thankful, also, for those who are coming alongside to help me teach. It should be an exciting year. We hope to begin another new group in the Ipswich area in January 2012.

London Theological Seminary

I had the opportunity to deliver three lectures on church planting at London Theological Seminary in March. It’s encouraging to see the developing interest in this important subject.

PLANTING CHURCHES

Angel

We look forward to the marriage of Marvin Gardner and Cara Faulkner next month. They plan (God willing) to move to Angel this summer.

Chatteris

Do continue to pray for Robert and Jackie Read as they provide leadership to the work at Chatteris. Robert’s ministry is proving to be a rich blessing to the congregation.

Chelmondiston

We thank God for the completion of the chapel room at Chelmondiston. It is a very suitable and attractive place for worship and fellowship. We would value prayer for an evangelistic tea and talk to be held Easter afternoon as well as for a potential worker who will be preaching in the weekly service over the next six weeks.

Edlesborough

With the prospect of the first baptism in the near future, a meeting will be held Sunday evening to discuss the next steps in the development of the work at Edlesborough. Please pray.

Grays

We look forward to the baptism of Beverly Ponder on Easter Sunday. This will be the first baptism in Grays in a number of years. Also, we want to pray for Bruce and Kate Massop as they hope to move to Grays in the next couple of months.

Halstead

We will have a workday at Halstead tomorrow as we prepare to move the Sunday meeting to the morning beginning this weekend. Please pray for a potential worker who will be preaching in Halstead over the next six weeks.

North Watford

It was good to meet with the friends at North Watford last night. A church discipline issue warrants your prayers.

Peterborough

The work will not commence here this spring as previously hoped. However, we do trust a work will be established at a later time.

Richings Park

Please pray for the friends in Richings Park as they plan a special evangelistic event for 30 April 2011.

Southall

The leaders at Southall desire to start an afternoon Punjabi service for the purpose of evangelising Punjabi-speaking people in their ministry area. Please pray for wisdom as they proceed with these plans.

Wood Green

How I praise the Lord for His blessing on the church at Wood Green. As my weekly involvement on Sundays at Grays comes to an end this month, I look forward to getting reacquainted with my brothers and sisters here.

REACHING NATIONS

Poland

Our recent trip to Poland was a real blessing. I enjoyed preaching at a conference for pastors and church planters in Warsaw and visiting Andrzej and Monica Kempczynski in Legionowo. May the Lord continue to bless the work there.

Scotland

The Lord has laid a heavy burden for the progress of the gospel in Scotland on several of our hearts. Please pray for us as we seek to discover ways to encourage the strengthening of existing churches and the planting of new churches in that land.
