The Big News

We are pleased to announce the forthcoming amalgamation of Grace Baptist Partnership and Grace Baptist Partnership Scotland. Barry King will serve as General Secretary and Ali McLachlan will serve as Associate General Secretary. The amalgamation will be formalised at the Grace Baptist Partnership annual conference 24 – 26 August 2016 at Swanwick, Derbyshire.

Additionally, we are pleased to announce the appointment of Jonathan Armstrong (Diss, Norfolk) and Peter Logie (Anniesland, Glasgow) to the board of Grace Baptist Partnership. We are looking forward to their involvement as we seek to more effectively serve the churches in East Anglia and Scotland.

Please pray for the formation of a number of Grace Baptist Partnership ministry teams including gifted people from churches throughout the United Kingdom. These teams will help shape – and implement! – our plans to greatly expand our ministry of helping churches grow leaders, plant churches and reach nations. In addition to teams focused on specific geographical areas, we will be enlisting people for the following teams:

• Growing Leaders Team
• Planting Churches Team
• Reaching Nations Team
• Special Events Team
• Media Team

In Brief

Growing Leaders

Beginning in September we will have two training groups in London. There will be a Getting Started group for those who desire a Biblical understanding of the basics of exegesis, exposition and evangelism. There will be a Going Deeper group for men already serving in church planting or pastoral ministry roles who desire to deepen their knowledge of Scripture and develop their preaching and leadership gifts further. If you are interested in being a part of either group, please be in touch.

Planting Churches

Even as new church planting projects are commencing in Bedfordshire, Kent and Wiltshire, the friends at North Watford and Angel thank God for bringing them to the point that they can formally constitute as autonomous churches. A thanksgiving service for the recent constitution of the Grace Baptist Church, North Watford will be held on Saturday, 7 May 2016 at 3:00pm. The people committed to the work at Angel will meet together to constitute the new church on Tuesday, 24 May 2016. A thanksgiving service at Angel will be held later in the summer.

Reaching Nations

April has been a busy month as far as ministry in Europe is concerned. An Effective Evangelism Conference in Gothenburg, Sweden attracted 50 participants. Additionally, the second annual Evangelising Europe Conference held this year in Oradea, Romania drew together almost 200 delegates from eight different countries. In May we will have an Effective Evangelism Conference in Tirana, Albania. Please pray for this conference and other ongoing Euro Evangelism initiatives.
